Stan Van Beurden has been carving up roast beef at the Hofbrau Restaurant for over 35 years. Anybody who has been to either Morro Bay or Atascadero has seen one of the Hofbrau’s famous hand carved French dip sandwiches piled high with mouth watering roast beef, slow-cooked to perfection. If you prefer you can choose to have your French dip with turkey, pastrami or corned beef. Hofbrau’s abundant menu also offers hand-dipped fish and chips, daily homemade soups, a fresh salad bar, hamburgers, beer and wine, and a kid’s menu.
In Morro Bay the Hofbrau sits over the bay with a perfect view of the rock. Oftentimes diners catch a glimpse of sea life frolicking in the bay below. Atascadero features a patio overflowing with greenery for enjoying the warm summer evenings.
Of course Stan doesn’t do it all alone. The entire family is in on the act, from his wife, to his daughters, to his grandkids.
